The Greens are back!

2 Sep

Note from the Author-

Hi! Sorry for such a long break in the story. I wasn’t sure if I’d ever be able to get this legacy working again after the sad demise of my old laptop.. but I just bought a new one and a new copy of the game and by some miracle, I rescued the Greens! I’ll give you a brief recap to get you up to speed with what the family is doing right now.

After the sad passing of Marley Green, of the second generation, her daughter Mari Green took over the role of  continuing the Green Legacy. Mari and her fiance Ellis already have two children, Joseph and Melody. Melody will of course take over the legacy once she reaches Young Adulthood.

In the last chapter we saw Mari and Ellis finally tie the knot (yay!) and the two young children grew up a stage. Melody is now old enough to attend little school and Joseph has started high school. Both are A grade students and life seems to be shaping up pretty well.

I attempted to find all the custom content that made the characters and house as recognisable as they were… but I’ve had to settle for something slightly similar in some cases. But anyway, I’m sure you figure out what’s going on soon enough!

If you’re a reader of my other Sim blog – http://thesimfected.wordpress.com – then the good news is that once I find a few of the things I need (like the red contact lenses and the outfits) then I should be good to continue writing that too. Thanks for all the kind words throughout the longer than expected hiatus of my stories. I’ll keep you updated on that directly through the blog so if you sign up for email updates then you’ll know as soon as I get something posted.

All the best, I have a lot of reading to catch up on with all of your blogs!

Wedding Bells

30 Dec

(Author: Many apologies for the lack of updates in the past 2 months. I have so much art work to do that I’ve not even had time to play. However, in an attempt to bring my legacy up to date as quickly as possible so that I can play a little further, here is a little of what The Green Family have been up to ^_^)

We got Married!

I can’t believe he finally asked me to marry him! Ellis and I had a beautiful wedding at the place we first met. Our two little children, both a little older you might notice, were at our side to celebrate the marriage of their loving parents. ❤

The Second Born

22 Oct

It was true.  I was pregnant again.

But Ellis and I were not worried. We were turning out to be great parents. Ellis was at my house with little Joseph and me all the time, he rarely went home, but he still never mentioned moving in. Joseph was growing up well, he had blonde hair growing through, even lighter than his Dad!

Our family began to fall into routine. Mostly of changing dirty nappies and picking up toys, but none the less it felt comfortable and everything  was going well.

And it felt like no time at all before the new baby was ready to be born. Again we had to buy a crib and some more stuff for the little one, this time I felt sure it would be the little girl I wanted. The one that would carry on the Green Legacy.

And I was right! The beautiful Melody Green was here!

Now we had two children to look after and Ellis still hadn’t asked me to marry him! Would we ever be able to afford it now? Neither of us had a job and we hadn’t even had the chance to travel together, my martial art training was permanently on hold and meditating with the sound of crying babies is just impossible. I’d never anticipated such a huge change in pace for my life!

Time flew by and soon it was time for Melodys first birthday. Little Mel was about to get a little bit bigger!

She has hair just like her Dad! And bright blue eyes like her Great Grandmother MaryJane had.

It was also time for Josephs next birthday. We threw him a party and watched as he changed into our perfect little boy.

My two little angels ❤

Joseph was now old enough to go to school. He seems to really enjoy it and Ellis, as usual, is always helpful with doing homework and helping out around the house.

The two children get on really well and I’m excited for what ever the future holds for our new family – hopefully there will be wedding bells too!

Welcome to the Family

22 Oct

Marleys funeral was a sad affair. My brother James was so devastated that he couldn’t even make it to the funeral. He had still been living at home and was not prepared to face the world alone. We buried Mum next to her own mother, the one who started this legacy, and as one generation was buried another one would be born.

My pregnancy went smoothly and Ellis and I began to buy a few things for the house to accommodate the new arrival. Of course I was hoping for a girl to carry on the family, but Ellis really wanted a boy. It seemed like no time at all before our little one was ready to join us.

Please say hi to our smiley little boy, Joseph! He’s so adorable and Ellis was over the moon to have a son.

Wow, what a lot of drama in the Green family house! With the death of my parents and the arrival of my first child, I decided to take a break from my martial art training. I’m still only a young adult, there is plenty of time for training. But for now I want to spend as much time as possible with my family. Joseph needs to be taught all the essentials of life and I need to work on convincing Ellis to move in with me. He lives across town in a shared house, but he spends all of his time here with me.

But of course the action didn’t stop there. Soon it was time for a first birthday for Joseph. He has my deep brown eyes and squishy nose!

Joseph was growing into a smiley, energetic little boy. He quickly learned to walk and talk, then we just couldn’t shut him up. He likes to sing all the time and he follows his Daddy around like a puppy!

But just when we thought that life was going to settle down a bit something else unexpected happened…

Could I be pregnant again ALREADY?!

Follow Your Heart

22 Oct

After Dads death, Mum became concerned that her own passing maybe imminent. For a few days it was all she could talk about and she worked long and hard to complete the book she was working on just incase the time did come. I told her that she was going to be fine but Mum just wouldn’t listen.

I had a secret of my own that I had been trying to find the right time to announce. You guessed it, I was pregnant. Ellis and I were together properly now but we’d never discussed anything like this. What about our plans to travel? I hoped this wouldn’t make him resent me if we can’t go. I’d been to the hospital and had it confirmed, now I just needed to get Ellis alone to tell him the news. I knew Mum would be happy about having a grandchild, but how would he re-act?

I came home from the hospital and Mum and Ellis were both there. I took Ellis by the hand and braced myself to tell his about the baby… but suddenly Mum began to cough uncontrollably and the colour drained from here face.

“Mum whats wrong?!”

She looked at me solemnly and told me that Anthony was calling her and that she had to go to him.

I couldn’t believe Mum was gone just seconds before I’d told her she was going to be a Grandma. I sobbed and told Ellis that we were expecting our first child and he held me close. He promised that we’d be together no matter what and when we had the money he would marry me. Such happiness and grief make for a confusing mix of emotions but I think we’ll be just fine. I’ll make sure our baby knows what an amazing woman Grandma Marley was.

Trying To Find My Path

26 Sep

My new house is just perfect. It is a traditional Japanese house situated a short walk from the SunsetValley SimFu Academy. My parents must have put a lot of thought into it, and they have very good taste in decor it seems.

I love it here, even though being away from home is a little weird still, I speak to my parents everynight so I don’t get too lonely.

I have been taking my training very seriously. I am the youngest person at the academy but I seem to have martial arts in my blood.

But, as usual, I ended up getting distracted by something else… in this case a very hot guy named Ellis. He also studies martial arts and we met by the waterfall where I like to practice my meditation. It was quite funny really. Both of us trying to achieve inner peace whilst surreptitiously looking at one another across the park. He came over to say hi eventually. We got chatting and it turns out that he’s a traveller with an interest in the east. And seemingly, an interest in me.

A few days later I received a surprise visit from  Christopher (my high school crush) and he told me that him and Lea were getting married. I was happy that they’d managed to recovered from the mess I’d caused by kissing Chris, but also a little sad that Chris and I had been so close and now we were barely even friends.

But I didn’t need to be sad. After meeting Ellis at the waterfall he’d promised that he would take me out around the town and show me some of the interesting night life. I’ve lived here my whole life but never really explored so I was super excited.

He came over to my house that night and we grabbed some pizza before heading out to the night club. The more I saw him smile, the cuter he began to look…

We went to a place called Club Simolean. The music was loud, everyone in town was there and I had such a great time. Ellis laughed at me when I drank too much and got quite drunk, but he took my hand and kept me steady so that we could dance. This was probably the best night of my life so far.

I swear I never planned on kissing him, but he’s just so nice! And a great dancer! Maybe I should have had those last few drinks… The end of the night came and everyone else had left. The club was closing and I was having even more trouble standing up. I don’t remember much more of the night but I know that Ellis took care of me and made sure I was home safe.

The next few weeks flew by. I carried on my training at the SimFu academy and Ellis came over every day. He promised me that we’d go travelling together as soon as he had the money.

One night Mum and Dad dropped by to see how things were going in my new place. My mum, Marley, had also taken up martial arts and they were just stopping on their way to the class. Ellis just happened to be there and he was so polite in front of my parents. Mum and Dad seemed to like him, although we’re not officially boyfriend and girlfriend, we’re very close.

Everything seemed normal that night and Mum and Dad headed off to the academy leaving  me and Ellis to watch a movie together.

About an hour later I could hear sobbing from the doorstep. It was Mum.

She couldn’t tell me what happened exactly, she was in a state of shock. All I could make out from her was that Dad hadn’t been feeling well this morning and that he’d collapsed whilst she had been inside training. I couldn’t believe this was happening.

Dad was gone.

Suddenly mine and my Mothers whole life had changed.

I couldn’t send her home alone.

So I did what I had to and invited her to move in with me.

For the first few nights she sat awake all night crying over Anthony. I hate to see my Mum so upset  like this.

School’s Out Forever

5 Sep

(authors note: Sorry for the long gap in updates, I got carried away writing my other story!)

I’m such a bad heiress. My mother works long and hard to keep this family blog up to date and I just forget about it. Shame on me. But, in my defence, I didn’t really have time when I was supposed to be doing my school work.

But none the less, I am back. High school was almost a disaster. I got caught up in chasing boys and didn’t do enough work. Graduation was getting nearer and I decided that the sensible thing to do was get my head down and do some work.

I managed to catch up and passed with a ‘B’. James got an ‘A’ of course.

So school finished. Christopher and I rarely see each other these days. After his girlfriend Lea caught us kissing one time and went mental, we went our separate ways.

Mum and I have been talking about our past recently. My Grandfather, Kira Lito, had come from a long line of martial artists in Asia and my mother Marley thought it might do me some good to explore my roots and gain a bit of discipline. So she gave me the books passed down from my Grandparents. Gardening books and the Art of Sim-Fu.

I brushed her off at first, I was convinced that now high school was over I could go out and party all night like I wanted to. But something drew me to the books and when I started to read I couldn’t stop! I joined the local Sim-Fu academy and tried to leave behind my wayward past.

Not long after it was James and I’s birthday. At last! I can be free!

But, as it always is with my family, it was not without disaster.

But finally my brother and me were grown up! We were allowed to leave the family home and make our own ways in the big wide world.

I had already decided to move out straight away. James decided to stay at home with Mum and Dad. So as I slept my last night in the family home I thought about all the adventures I was about to have.

I was determined to travel to far away lands and become a master at the art of my ancestors.

The next day I prepared to move out. As is traditional in the Green family, my parents bought me a small house in which to start my new life. I’ll admit that I cried when I left. Mum promised to call me every night and to send me all the new books she writes. My dad and brother were also quite emotional but I promised to come back and visit and not disappear to Shang Sim-La or anything.

And this is where my story really begins…

Christopher Simmons

11 Jun

I think I might be in love with him. I didn’t know it before but Christopher and Lea started dating a few weeks ago. She knew I liked him, that’s why she never told me. I thought we were good friends. I feel angry with Lea for hiding it but now whenever I hang out with her, I get to see Christopher too. The thing is that me and Chris have a lot in common. Music, movies, food, everything! We’ve started hanging out a lot recently without her.

I know he’s going out with Lea but it’s ok for us to be friends, right? Anyway, I’ve seen Lea flirting with the other boys in the foster home AND at school, I think her and Jaz might have something going on. I want to tell Chris that Lea can’t be trusted but on the other hand, I really don’t want to hurt him. I know he likes Lea a lot. But I’m keeping my eye on her. I won’t let her mess Chris around. I can tell she is jealous of our friendship…

Every time he calls me my heart skips a beat, even if he just wants to know the answers to the homework, just talking to him makes me smile from ear to ear.

I think I’m in love with him. But there is no way I can tell him in case it ruins our friendship. I just want to be with him all the time and it’s killing me! Is it OK to be in love your best friend? He’s such a nice guy, I know he’d never cheat on Lea…

We’ve been spending so much time together that I’m failing at school a little bit. Ok, I got an F. I got a few F’s. But I’ll make it up. Mum has been forcing me to study with my dorkus brother.

Yesterday I agreed to go on a double date with Lea and Chris, they set me up with Aaron (from the foster home) but of course I was only there to see Chris. I wish it was me with him instead of her.

Luckily for me Aaron and Lea were tired quite early, so Christopher and I headed to the cinema without them. There was only us two in there. It seemed like the perfect opportunity. I wanted to tell him how I feel, but I knew I shouldn’t. I wanted to say that my heart jumps every time he touches my skin an that he makes me happy inside. But I settled for telling him that he was my best friend and that I was so glad to have met him. I just wish our embrace was more than friendship…

I wish I knew what to do.

In which Mari takes over

8 Jun

Hi! I’m Mari Green and I am the 3rd Generation to take over this Legacy. I live with my mom, Marley, my dad, Anthony and my geeky brother James.

My Grandmother Mary Jane was the first of our family to live in Sunset Valley, she was a high school drop out that lived by nature and became an accomplished gardener. My mother is a world famous author! I have a lot to live up to!

I just started high school and already I’m quite popular, must be because of my fashionable dress sense and charming personality.

I already made friends with the kids from the foster home down the road. They’re all really cool. I have a crush on Christopher but Lea fancies him too. Lea is my best friend so far, she’s smart and pretty.

Another one of the boys from the foster home has a crush on me. He came round to my house after school but I think he’s a little bit too wild for me, all those piercings and tattoos? I don’t know, I don’t think I fancy Jaz at all but I don’t know how to tell him. I hope he doesn’t ask me out…

Jaz stayed over really late and I still hadn’t done my homework so I tried to use that as an excuse to get him to leave. My mom has a rule about no boys in the annex (thats my bedroom out in the yard) after 9pm, but he then went inside and started talking to her!

In the end I did my homework in my smelly brothers room. If Christopher finds out Jaz was here too late he’ll never go out with me.

I need to tell Christopher that I like him, but I’ve never had a boyfriend before and he might think thats a bit weird. I don’t know. I hope he likes me too.

It’s so hard being a teenager!

Love,

Mari ❤

Retirement – Farewell Marley

25 May

So time just really flew by, huh? I reached my life time goal, the kids are about to age up and we have a beautiful new house by the sea. All that work on my writing really paid off and I’m glad that we invested in something that Mari and James can benefit from once we are gone. The house has a pool, a garden, sea views, an annex at the end of the yard for relaxing in, it’s really perfect for us.

Anthony and I have been enjoying our free time, although he is still playing in his band in the evenings, we spend most of the day hanging out with the kids at the beach.

We’ve been making sure to spend quality time with our little ones before they age into teenagers. James is still doing great at school and Marley isn’t doing so bad either. She still prefers video games to homework, and James still favours his computer over playing with other children. I’m sure they’ll both mature a lot once they get to high school.

And finally the day came. Mari and James’ birthdays! They happen to have the same birthday, although technically Mari is older than James. Our babies are teenagers, just one step away from making it on their own. I’m so proud of them already.

Doesn’t James look just like his Dad? What a handsome little guy, and Marley looks a lot like me, she certainly has my odd shaped nose and Japanese eyes. I wonder what adventures these two will have in the future!

And so I’d like to say goodbye and pass this story over to my daughter, who will be the heir of the Green Legacy. My life is far from over, I intend to keep writing books and watching Anthony perform his music, hopefully go on a holiday somewhere… but for now it’s time I settled down into life as an Elder. Thank you for reading my story and stay tuned for a new update from Generation 3. I’m sure Mari will have lots of interesting things to tell you!

Much Love,

Marley and Anthony Green-Ben
